Wallace Mair

My name is Wallace Mair. I grew up on the Mull of Kintyre in a beautiful village called Tarbert on the west coast of Scotland. I started performing in pubs etc at the age of 14 with my dad and uncle.

I love writing songs and singing them at festivals, bars and so on. I also love radio interviews and singing live on air.

My music videos have won awards and I’ve had 5 #1s on presenters download charts globally. I’ve had chart success with 3 top ten hits on the iTunes UK country chart.

I love charity events and once did a pub singathon to raise money for York Hills Children’s hospital in Glasgow, singing with my guitar in 61 bars in under 12 hours raising thousands of pounds.

I now live in Australia where I play festivals with fellow Kintyre man Jimmy Mageachy.  Jimmy played drums in the smash hit “Mull of Kintyre” by Paul McCartney and Wings. We hadn’t seen each other in 40 years and recently played our first festival in Australia together.

I am busy recording a new album and looking forward to playing festivals in the UK. Music is my way of life and I love it.
