Trey Calloway is a singer-songwriter from North Carolina currently living in Nashville, Tennessee where he’s one of the featured acts at the legendary Alan Jackson’s Good Time Bar. The son of a preacher man, Trey grew up singing in church and was a seasoned performer at a young age. Although southern and contemporary gospel were his first musical loves, Trey was instantly mesmerised by the sounds of country music after hearing a Garth Brooks Greatest Hits album. As a teen, a deep understanding and passion for the rocking, boot stomping, country music of artists such as Garth, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, and Travis Tritt grew within him.
Trey began writing songs, playing guitar, and performing in clubs at age 15. He is passionate about inspiring and energising live audiences and currently travels between Nashville and the Carolinas performing at clubs, festivals, and private and charitable events including Paws for Performers Project K-9 Hero, the Opry Stage at the Tennessee State Fair, and Vet Fest Carolinas. In addition to being an experienced performer who has been nominated for multiple Country Entertainer of the Year awards, Trey is an award-winning Nashville songwriter and recording artist.
Trey has recorded and released over 30 original songs that are available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all music streaming platforms. Trey’s original music has traditional country roots with a modern feel.
His songs have won awards for Carolina Country Music Association (CCMA) Song of the Year and the international Josie Music Award (JMA) for Social Impact Video of the Year and have been nominated by the CCMA, JMA, and International Singer-Songwriter Association (ISSA) for Country Single of the Year. Trey won a prestigious JMA for Songwriter Achievement in October 2022, in addition to winning the JMA live a cappella vocal competition in Nashville and being nominated multiple times by indie associations for Vocalist of the Year.
Trey was recently named Country Songwriter of the Year by the Texas Country Music Association, recognized as “One to Watch” by the Nashville Songwriters Association International, and is currently nominated for JMA Modern Country Artist and Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Song of the Year and Songwriter Achievement.
