Brisbane-based six-piece band theBlueShamrocks have a traditional-sounding country music element which combines elements of jive, waltz and linedance country music.
Following on from their debut album TTT-Tap Those Toes in 2017, theBlueShamrocks new original series of singles was released in September 2020 from an album NTSH Nothing To See Here, with powerful emotionally charged melodies and a seductively joyous classic feel.
Exploring various themes, where with a dreamy thought could relate to any part of daily life, the tunes are sprinkled with fun, optimism and storyline generosity, tracks that are sure to attract many discerning music lovers across the globe.
Produced by Brisbane producer James North, the songs with unmistakeable universal appeal, are uplifting with a form of a wholesome shot of yesteryear that feels quite charming and robust when set against today’s climate of unknowns.

theBlueShamrocks band members backgrounds range from genres of various music styles inclusive off country, rock, orchestral and jazz music scenes.
In November 2020, the band released “Through The Years”, an autobiographical song that explores themes of family and the unwavering bonds of blood. The lyrics were written with the thought of people who live in Australia and
those who migrate to Australia, who move around the vast country to achieve
a “better” life, where making family reunions at times is difficult, for the good
or bad times in life.
Despite the song’s quite sombre preoccupations, the track is surprisingly
buoyant and almost joyous. Lead vocalist Sam McCaughey sounds as
if he means every word, and that infuses the track with a wistful, spirited edge.
In January 2021, theBlueShamrocks released their 2nd original single Gypsy Time, a country music track with mythical connotations that combines the art of a fun jive style country beat. The new song is taken from their forthcoming album NTSH – Nothin’ To See Here which is due out soon and follows on from their 2017 album – TTT Tap Those Toes.
Gypsy Time is essentially a mythical song based on a dream time, that explores self-imaginative dreamy themes of song and dance. As the band have said about the subject matter of the song: “The lyrics were written with the thought of people who have an imaginative vision within the realm of time and space with thoughts and vision, within one’s own time of self-relaxation”.
Within the song’s lyrics, the track offers a buoyant and joyous celebration, of music and dance, which leads to excellent musicianship from the various skilled musicians who deliver the vibrance to this excellent tune. In September 2022, theBlueShamrocks released their second original single ‘Weekend Stroll’. The upbeat song is about the adventures that lie ahead at the weekend. Lead singer Sam McCaughey says, “The lyrics were written with the thought of people who have an imaginative vision of preparation for the partner to be for the upcoming weekend. The message within the song is to conjure a reality for a short time, which doesn’t get in the way of telling a tale with a simplicity meaning as endearing as it is tangible.”
