The Rescue

The Rescue released their successful self-titled debut album in 2000.

The band were in the process of writing songs for their second album when differences began to surface regarding the musical direction the new album should take, which in turn lead to some changes in personnel within the band

The three core members of The Rescue – Bernie Townsend, Paul Henry and Richard Sharpey remained to steer the band towards the rock side of country.

They kick-started this new direction by releasing “”Too Late”” (written by Bernie Townsend and drummer Mick Gardiner) as a single in 2002. The song became their highest entry on the CHi/Americana Country Charts, thereby acting as an indicator of what was to come on their second album.

The Rescue’s second album, “”Forever Young”” was finally released in the US and Canada in late 2007, after Gravel Road Records signed the band to Nashville label ARG-Asipirion Records Inc where they were stable-mates with Collin Raye and T.Graham Browne. The album “”Forever Young”” found its target audience and received enormous critical accalim in both the US and among media in the UK where it was released to radio stations.
