The Brae are a married duo Alan and Chrissy Brill, singer/songwriters who both uncovered their passion for music at an early age. Based in Hampshire, Alan and Chrissy have been performing both as a duo and in various bands for over 25 years all over the south of England and in the South of France.
Growing up, Alan and Chrissy were exposed to country music, regularly listening to family favorites which included Elvis, Willie Nelson, Don Williams, Eagles, Patsy Cline, Olivia Newton John, Glen Campbell, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder and Abba to name a few. This invoked their passion for country music and song writing and influenced their direction in music.
Over the years, The Brae have developed their songwriting skills and have recently produced their debut album, “Start Right Now” with rich country music tones with a modern rocky edge. The songs on their debut album were all written, and vocals recorded in the UK. With the use of technology, the music tracks were recorded and produced in the USA.
The Brae take inspiration from their life experiences and create powerful lyrics and beautiful melodies, believing every song on their debut album tells a story. It was a great privilege for The Brae to have been interviewed and performed two of their songs from their album live on BBC Radio Berkshire, England.
