ROBYN TAYLOR is a talented singer and songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland with a wealth of experience of 30 years in the business performing in a variety of music venues across the UK and abroad. All genres of music are covered although country music is her forte and where her voice feels free and her writing comes from the heart. She is a friendly, confident person and a professional franck muller replica watches artist with an amazing stage presence. Always producing quality vocals whilst connecting with her audience. She loves what she does and it shows!””””
Robyns musical journey began with a chance meeting of a musician, Brian James, whilst on holiday in Fife. Brian asked if there were any singers in the audience and the next thing Robyn found herself singing Blanket On The Ground. This was her first experience of singing to an audience and she was hooked!
In a bizarre twist of events Robyn and Brian became a couple and a singing duo named Calibra. They performed in clubs all over Scotland and later completed two very successful seasons in Majorca. As Robyns singing ability and confidence grew she became very frustrated with the act and the relationship and returned home to Scotland.
Robyn went on to join Central Park, an all male band performing at weddings and functions where she learned a great deal about performance, timing and harmony. She competed in many talent competitions and was placed with regular success. With her winnings she bought her first PA system and said goodbye to Central Park to pursue a solo career.
Not content with just playing in Scotland, and armed with her previous experience in Majorca, Robyn moved to Lanzarote in 1997 for two years. This was another great learning curve for her and she developed a great rapport with every audience who would return night after night.
Robyn always had a love of country music Granddad had this record of all the old Country greats that he would play all the time but at the time people would say country music wasnt fashionable or trendy. Her cousin visited her from the USA and heard her sing. She was blown away and suggested some other country artists to check out.
Before long she was singing new-found favourites of Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntyre, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Leann Rimes, Faith Hill and Gretchen Wilson.
In 2013 Robyn wanted to explore her country voice and she travelled to Germany to take part in The Country Music Euro Masters Competition, a talent search for country music artists from all over Europe which ran over 3 days. Robyn was thrilled to be placed second on her first attempt!
Armed with the confidence from her experience in The Country Euro Masters Robyn decided to pursue a lifelong dream to write her own songs and in 2014 was introduced to Greg Friel, a singer, songwriter and producer from Glasgow. They met at his recording studio to talk about perhaps collaborating on material. The connection was instant with a song written and recorded at that first session.
Robyn was now hooked on song writing and, with Gregs encouragement and expertise, the songs began to flow. In 2015 an EP Better Days was released with a crossover country/pop feel, as a taste for things to come. One of these songs In The Arms Of Love was entered into the UK Song writing Competition 2016 and was selected as one of the 16 Finalists fromover 6,500 entries.
Robyn has been performing her favourite country songs to fans for many years but now shes sharing her own story with the world.
