KAYE TOLSON is steeped in traditional country music and has played bass and performed background vocals for many of the greats in country music including Johnny Bush, Jan Howard, Jeannie Seeley, Darrell McCall, Buck Trent and Hank Thompson.
Kaye has worked extensively during the last few years with Heart of Texas Recording Artist Justin Trevino. Trevino urged Kaye to record her debut project and even recorded a duet with her on Ill Share My World With You.
The 13-track collection features the Texas A Team of musicians and was recorded at the Heart of Texas recording studio in Brady, Texas.
Music has always been near to Kaye’s heart. Her parents were a huge influence on her life in general but especially with music.
Kaye’s dad taught her to play the guitar at a very young age. When she was 13, she saw a bass guitar for the first time and instantly fell in love. After much persuading, her parents bought her one and she taught herself with an old Mel Bay book.
Kaye’s mum played the piano in church and she would sit by her in the choir and learn to sing harmony by listening to her. Kaye says, “”God has blessed me with many great opportunities to gain the experience that I have and it is my mission to allow God to touch hearts through my music.””
