Finding Georgia

FINDING GEORGIA originally formed in September 2012 with musicians who shared a common passion for Southern Country rock music.

We are a fully live band, performing and recording our own original music. We tell our own stories with themes that will be recognisable to fans of Miranda, Gretchen and BJ Barham amongst others who have been hugely influential on our writing. A lot has happened to this band collectively and individually and much of that is reflected in our material.

We showcased our original material at the Sheffield O2 Academy HRH CROWS festival in 2019 and received an amazing reception with positive feedback from a sell-out crowd. Examples include:

“.. Saw these guys at HRH CROWS at Sheffield O2. All I can say is wow!!. Absolutely blew us away. Can’t wait for the EP release..”

“..Absolutely brilliant. Real story telling in their music. Loved every second..”

“..thank you for such a good show. One of the highlights of the weekend..”

A review by Metalvillezine reflected the feedback and stated “..Finding Georgia were the first relevant band on stage two upstairs on the Sunday who nail their place on the map with their country rock with Georgina Surridge taking care of the lead vocals. A powerful band who deserve a show or two here in their own right or a good tour supporting slot at least..”

Our debut EP ‘A Thrill Gone Bad’ was released on 18 September 2020 and highlights the breadth of the Finding Georgia sound from the introspective ‘Rear View Mirror’ to the southern-inspired powerhouse of the title track ‘A Thrill Gone Bad’.
