AJ, a former Miss Commonwealth Scotland, is a singer-songwriter from Aberdeenshire, Scotland and an ambassador for mental health. AJ has also been a finalist in the Inspiring Aberdeenshire Awards 2021 for her work in raising mental health awareness.
AJ has released four, diverse, singles to date and released her debut EP, Healing in late 2021, featuring her collaborations with Angelo-K, Richard Barribal, and Aberdeen wedding pianist and guitarist, Kevin Buchan
The tracks featured on the EP are Born To Make A Difference, Hold On, Bleeding Heart and Breathe.
Breathe was written by Aj after she was inspired on the school run one morning.
The song is about loss and how we are affected after someone we love dies.
This was Aj’s take on how she deals with those tough days, when you really miss them, and she felt it was a beautiful sentiment to imagine them living on all around us in everything we do in our daily lives.
AJ has built up a worldwide fanbase via social media, primarily on her Facebook page, and is currently working on her new single, covers album and a country EP, to be released late 2022/early 2023.
