Ian Humphreys-Graham

Ian Humphreys-Graham is a singer-songwriter and musician whose musical journey is coming full circle. Raised on classic country music, he grew up with heartfelt storytelling and southern sounds but, for most of his career, he played in bands that explored other genres, most notably as one half of the group Forty Down with collaborator Dave Costello. Their track Your Symphony is a standout example of their creative chemistry and alternative edge.

Now, after years of exploring different sounds and styles, Ian is stepping into a new chapter – his solo journey back into country music. With his debut single 32 Bridge released in April 2025, he returned to his roots, blending heartfelt lyrics and country authenticity with the musical depth he’s developed over the years. His work is already resonating with listeners on platforms like iHeartRadio and YouTube, signaling a promising new phase of his artistry. This is just the beginning of Ian’s homecoming to the genre that first inspired him.

Ain’t Too Far is more than just a follow-up single – it’s a journey set to music. It picks up where 32 Bridge left off, a song famously born on the back of a napkin in Luke Bryan’s bar in Nashville. That trip was a turning point for Ian – being surrounded by the heartbeat of country music, the neon lights, the energy, the soul of Nashville… it left its mark.

But coming home, he found himself chasing that feeling – the highs of live music, that connection with strangers who feel like family, and that buzz you only get when the band is tight and the beer’s cold.

He found it in the last place he expected – not Tennessee, but Blackpool. Cowboy and Co, a true honky tonk tucked away in the north of England, became his own little slice of Nashville. Every week, without fail, Ian makes the trip – for the music, for the people, for the vibe.

It’s not just a bar – it’s his place, a second home. A reminder that you don’t have to cross the ocean to find something real. Ain’t Too Far is a tribute to that journey – both physical and emotional.

With an upbeat sound, classic honky tonk style, and a chorus built to be shouted from the barstools, this song is full of feel-good energy and heart. It’s got that same spirit Toby Keith wrote about – the kind of bar where the world slows down and the music means something.

If you’ve ever had a place that feels like home the minute you walk through the door – this one’s for you.

Ian has just finished single number three, a reworking of Heads Carolina, Tails California, due out in the next few months, and is actively looking to start getting back on the live music scene gigging. He was once described as UK heart, Southern Soul, a badge he wears with pride, Ian is going from strength to strength, and aims to release an album next year.
