Formed in 2017, THE COUNTY AFFAIR is an Americana band put together by Kevin Brennan. The music spans country, bluesy and folky styles as the songs capture tales of great Gaelic matches, the survival of the Titanic and the beauty of Clare Island. The County Affair’s first single is “Big Tom Town”, a story of Big Tom McBride, an Irish music legend who recently sadly died. Big Tom went to school with Kevins dad and uncles and his Uncle Seamus was his best man. More importantly, Big Tom made Castleblayney in Co. Monaghan famous and particularly for country music, which still thrives there. It is often referred to as the Nashville of Ireland.
