Andy Martin

Andy Martin is one of the best traditional country singers in Europe. He has released 17 studio albums and toured for more than 37 years with his band, performing country music across Europe and in Japan, Egypt and the US.

Andy was born in 1957 in a little town in the Swiss Alps. After school he had a job as a electrician and played with his Top 40 Band in the dance halls near his hometown. In the early 80s he travelled through the US and fell in love with traditional country music. Under the influences of artists including Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Ray Price and some of the younger (at that time) singers such as George Strait, Mark Chesnutt and Dwight Yoakam, he founded his country band.

Andy has released 17 studio albums since 1987 and received 13 European Country Music Awards.

2024 was a very special year for Andy. After a 50-year musical career, including 37 as a country artist, he decided to retire from touring.

He now lives mostly in Denmark, writing songs, producing new music and enjoying the retired life. From time to time Andy still plays some small acoustic concerts, just for fun.

In early 2025, Andy released River In The Rain, written by Roger Miller. Andy’s lead vocals were recorded at Hug Productions in Switzerland, while the song was produced by Scott Neubert at Smash Recording Studios in Nashville. The track features Andy Hull on drums, Matt McGee on bass, Scott Neubert on acoustic guitar, pedal steel and backing vocals, Chris Condon on electric guitars and Dwain Rowe on piano and keyboards.

In May 2025, Andy released the single Another Perfect Day, recorded in Nashville. Written by Phil Barnhart, Brian Tabor and Conley White, the song was originally recorded in 1997 by the Texas country duo Blake & Brian (Blake Weldon & Brian Cowan) and peaked at #45 on the Billboard Country Charts.

The single was produced by Andy Martin and Scott Neubert and recorded, mixed and mastered in January 2025 at Spare Room Studios in Nashville. Lead vocals were recorded at Hug Productions in Switzerland with engineer Beat Hug. Andy Hull plays drums on the track, while Scott Neubert plays acoustic guitar, pedal steel guitar, electric guitars, bass, piano and keyboards and sings backing vocals.

Andy’s new album, Pure Country Vol. 3, is due to be released in autumn 2025.
