Nicknamed the Pocket Rocket for her stature, passionate and versatile performing, KEL-ANNE BRANDT has been described as a performer with a beautiful voice and dynamic stage presence. Originally from Cessnock in Australia’s Hunter Valley Wine Country in New South Wales, Kel-Anne Brandt made her stage debut at the tender age of three and has gone on to perform and entertain fans both nationally and internationally, including being invited to sing for the Aussie Troops and Federal Police in the Solomons in 2007.
Faced with a life threatening condition in 1997, Kel-Anne realised it was time to make a change and make a success from her career. She gave up her day job to follow her dream of being a country music star.
Kel-Anne has braced Australian TV screens with appearances as a commercial and TV actor. She appeared on the programmes All Saints and Little Bit of Country and she has also performed regularly on Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton.
Kel-Anne has recorded one promotional album, three EPs and two commercial Albums. The first commercial album was produced by legendary American producer John Beland. It included a duet with Brian Cadd and an international hit song Rodeo Eyes.
Kel-Annes single Somewhere Between Love and Leavin became a Top 30 hit in 2001. She later went on to enjoy a Top 10 hit on the Australian Country Charts and Top 30 on the Worldwide Mainstream Chart in 2003 with the single Rodeo Eyes.
Kel-Anne has been nominated eleven times for the annual Mo Awards for Female Country Performer of the Year. She has also received several noinations in the A.C.E and T.I.A.R.A Awards.
Kel-Annes second album Im A Big Girl Now produced by Roger Corbett showcases her versatility as a singer with a great mix of classic country, contemporary and new co-written songs. The 1st single to be released was Sometimes You Win When You Lose. It became a top 10 hit in Australia with the video being shown on CMC. The 2nd single Top of My List was a duet with Daniel Thompson and became a number one hit on the Hot FM Charts and gained many award nominations.
In 2010 Kel-Anne had two top 10 hit singles on the Hotdisc country chart with My Baby Loves Me and Sometimes You Win When You Lose.
In January 2011 at the Tamworth Country Music Festival Kel-Anne won the MeetnGreet Fans Choice Award for Most Popular Female Independent Artist. Then in March she had her third Hotdisc top 10 tit in the UK with Rockin with the Rhythm of the Rain.
In October 2011 Kel-Annes single My Baby Loves Me became a Top 20 Hit on the Australian Country Tracks Top 30 Chart. Then, in November, she won the award for Best Country Rock Song, with her single My Baby Loves Me at the Canberra Country Music Awards.
In 2012 Kel-Anne was honoured to have been nominated for another ACE Award and her tenth Mo Award. Kel-Anne achieved her fifth Hotdisc chart hit in October 2012 with Go Away Come Back.
Now, in 2013, Kel-Anne is honoured to have been nominated for another A.C.E Award alongside Melinda Schneider, Beccy Cole, John Williamson, Troy CassarDaly And Adam Brand and her 11th MO Award nomination alongside Beccy Cole, Melinda Schneider, McClymonts, Nikki Gillis and Wayne Horsburgh. “”
At the end of 2013, Kel-Anne released a new EP “”One Day At A Time”” and a new long-awaited radio single “”Grandma””. You may not believe it, but, in the last 3 years Kel-Anne has become a grandmother not once but four times over.
