Dave Sheriff is a singer-songwriter of more than just Red Hot Salsa for line dancing which he wrote in 1997. He has also a fine selection of ballads to his credit including the country club anthem Best of Friends and the powerful We’ve Got Memories as well as the poignant duet with Porter Wagoner I Couldn’t Find The Words To Say Goodbye which he wrote in memory of his dad and the jolly duet with Ray Walker from the Jordanaires I Wish I Had A Bassman Like The Jordanaires.
In 2026, Dave released the single I Wish That I Could Talk To You Again. The self-penned song, from the album How Long Is Forever, is a reflection of the loved ones that we have lost and wishing the memories could be relived.
It is a sequel to the hit song Angel Wings which was released during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown. The song is about the unfortunate situation which found sufferers dying in hospital without their loved ones able to be with them. It received more than a million views on social media.
Valentine Jive, released in February 2026, is about an old couple remembering all the good times that they had in their youth, attending rock’n’roll dances and events and wishing they could do it all again with all the aches and pains that come with old age.
