Susan Douse is a passionate country presenter based in London, dedicated to bringing the best of country music to listeners across UKCountryRadio.com.
The funny thing is, Susan was a country fan long before she knew it. Raised on everything from Motown icons like Diana Ross and the vocal powerhouse Whitney Houston, to Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Chas & Dave, and the anthem-heavy rock of Bon Jovi, Meatloaf, and Guns N’ Roses…. she was always drawn to big voices and great songcraft. But after stepping into her first proper country show, a Dierks Bentley gig she booked purely because he had a brilliant name, there was no turning back!
Whether it’s the latest releases, emerging independent artists, or the iconic anthems that never get old, Susan loves diving into the music and sharing the rich stories behind the songs.
Off the air, Susan is a mum, wellness advocate, and an unapologetic fan of all things purple, country life, and festive Christmas cheer. You’ll often find her taking in the country music scene alongside her favourite crew: her mum Mary, sister Lorraine, and daughter Emily.
Tune in, turn it up, and join Susan for your regular dose of country music magic!
