Rebecca Richards is an award-winning, BBC Radio Wales A List artist bringing a powerful mix of country, blues and a sprinkling of folk.
After a 25-year break from music, she’s proving unstoppable – winning Best Country Act at the Love Live Music Awards, being hand-selected to appear in a TV show about songwriters over 50, recording in Nashville at the legendary Ocean Way Studios and earning multiple BBC Radio Wales prime time airplay.
A true storyteller, her songs are full of heart, grit and raw authenticity and she is living proof that its never too late to chase your dreams.
In August 2026, Rebecca released the single Bring It All Back, based on the true experience of choosing ambition over love and realising too late that it was the wrong decision.
The production blends contemporary country with polished throwback 80s pop. Driven by a bright banjo, it’s unmistakably country with expressive vocals and a memorable anthemic chorus, blending regret and nostagia with uplifting hope. The song was written by Rebecca Richards, recorded at The Stables Studios with producer Stef Judd and mastered by Lismore Mastering.
Bring It All Back is included on the EP Stories From The Stable – a collection of songs to be heard together. They bring together Rebecca’s writing range from raging jealousy, regret, resilience and emotional reflection.
All songs have been written by Rebecca and performed and produced with Stef Judd of the Stable Studios (the inspiration for the EP name). It is a collection which draws together cinematic country production, taking the listener on a voyage through every emotion.
In September 2025, Rebecca released the single Kiss Me.
She said: “I was walking past a bank of those grim green chemical toilets at The Long Road Festival when I saw a couple kissing in a moment of pure tenderness. It was so beautiful and unexpected in that unusual setting that I nearly broke my neck staring as I walked past
“They weren’t young and so, I was left with the unshakeable and lingering thought – I wish someone would Kiss Me like that!”
Rebecca’s single Amber, released on 11 July 2025, was selected as BCMA Editors choice and made the BBC Radio Wales A list for two weeks.
Rebecca was thrilled to be invited to play at The Cavern Club, Liverpool in February 2024 as part of the BCMA Awards showcase session. Other venues include The Camden Club, London and the South Wales Country Music Festival, Newport. Her songs have generated radio play all over the world. Her Aces Are High reached number two in the British and Irish Hotdisc Top 40 and number nine in the European charts and featured a play on Bronwen Lewis’s Country Show on BBC Radio Wales.
In both 2023 and 2024, she was shortlisted for the UKCountryRadio.com Song of the Year Award for I Love It When You Smile and New Yesterdays respectively which she played at the awards ceremony.
Rebecca was honoured to have won Best Country/Folk Artist at the Newport Love Live Music Awards in June 2025 and was a finalist for UK Female Country Singer of the Year at the 2025 and 2026 UK Country Music Awards.
