Early Fascination with Radio and Music

From a young age, I have always been captivated by radio. My journey began in the gram library, where I stumbled upon a Randy Travis CD single, Forever and Ever. This moment was a revelation for me, as I realised that there was a whole world of music beyond the current top 40 charts. It was then that I started to explore the rich and diverse path of country music, often referred to as the “red dirt road”.

Presenting Country Music on Radio

I have been presenting radio shows for over 30 years now – though I like to think that one day I might finally master it! My passion for all types of country music has grown over the years, but I have always felt a particular connection to the sounds of the 1990s.

Experiences in Music City USA

My love for country music has taken me all the way to Music City USA, where I have been fortunate enough to attend several Grand Ole Opry shows, both at the historic Ryman Auditorium and The Opry House. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the genre and its storied traditions.

Interests Beyond Country Music

When I am not preparing radio shows or immersing myself in country music, I enjoy unwinding with a bit of “Gold Rush”.
