Rebecca Turmel

With a passion for storytelling and over a hundred stage shows under her belt, Rebecca Turmel originally intended to pursue a career in musical theatre. However, her path quickly changed when she taught herself to play the guitar. She found a much deeper connection with pairing her emotive vocals and those six strings to tell her stories. Rebecca’s musical journey began performing at local open mics, which soon turned into a full schedule of professional gigs and led her to quit her day job to become a full-time musician in 2020.

Hailing from New Hampshire, USA, Rebecca Turmel is an emerging singer-songwriter who decided it was time to take the next step and begin her recording career in 2022. Her debut single “Am I Missing Something” was released in July 2022 and has over 7k streams on Spotify. Her sophomore single “Wish You Well” was released just two months after. Although she is fairly new to the world of songwriting, Rebecca proves to have a penchant for writing infectious tunes and relatable narratives. She is determined to make waves in the music industry as a new and independent artist.

Rebecca’s latest single “Girls on Fire” was recorded at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, TN, and released on January 20, 2023. She worked with producer Bryan Clark (Bonnie Raitt, Kelsea Ballerini, Lisa Loeb) and engineer Michael Walter (Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood) on this track. “Girls on Fire” also features some of Nashville’s finest musicians including Adam Fluhrer on Electric Guitar (The Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell), John Henry Trinko on Piano (Kacey Musgraves), and Chris Brush on Drums (Toby Mac).

With big dreams and plenty of energy to spare, Rebecca seeks to reach out to audiences from all walks of life and create an emotional connection with them through her music. She is well on her way to becoming one of the most compelling artists to take the stage in recent years.
