Donny Richmond as “Uncle Donny”

U.S. country music star DONNY RICHMOND is also now a fully-fledged movie star. His recent starring role in the movie, “Saving Faith”, brought him a nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Feature Film from the U.S. based International Christian Film Festival. The story features Donny in a dramatic role which is both serious and humorous in places. The somewhat biographical film centers around Donny and his career, along with many notable friends. His character, “Uncle Donny”, is also seen performing two of his former #1 U.S. singles, “Riding Out The Storm” and “The Smaller The Town”. 

Supporting Donny in the movie with appearances are Vince Gill, Amy Grant, members of Rascal Flatts, The Gatlin Brothers, Michael W. Smith and many others. “Saving Faith” was released by movie and media giant Lionsgate Entertainment. 

Richmond, who is now an inductee of 4 different music Halls of Fame internationally, is known for working alongside many country music greats, including Stonewall Jackson, Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, and many others. For Christmas, Richmond is also featured in a dramatic role in the feature movie, “The Christmas Reunion”. This movie also includes Donny’s former #1 single, newly re-released in America, “That’s What Christmas Means”. 

The “Heartbreak Holiday” single by Donny Richmond as “Uncle Donny” is included in the film of the same name, starring Donny, and released in the U.S. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries, including formerly in Europe on Revelation TV. A new TV series with Donny Richmond in the lead role as “Uncle Donny”, and the next feature movie are also in the works for our American friend.
