
Mark W Collard is a singer songwriter and poet from the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, UK. He released his debut EP Thoughtful in 2020 which included the tracks I Have Travelled Through Time, In Days Gone By, With God in My Heart and the bonus track Come With Me – The Barry Island Song. The EP confirms Mark’s love of country music and storytelling, while exploring various sounds within the country music scene such as Americana and Christian.

Mark has been involved with the music business for over 25 years and was the vocalist and songwriter with the band Tis the Camera.
Along the way Mark has worked as a criminal defence solicitor and has also DJ’d at many a birthday or wedding party.
Mark has also worked with sound engineer Paul Durrant (The Manic Street Preachers), singer songwriter Rob Allen, The Crusaders (Super League) Rugby League team aka The Celtic Crusaders, Abercynon Male Voice Choir, Bridgend Male Voice Choir, the band Shooting the Moon, Barry Ladies Choir, Barry Male Voice Choir, Salem Singers, Vale Voices, Andrew “Wal” Coughlan (Bass guitarist with Shakin’ Stevens & Gary Numan), Carl Simmonds, arranger, keyboard player extraordinaire and sound engineer at Pinewood Audio, Opera singer Carla Maney and Pauline Collard (the wife).

Mark has written and performed a musical about living with dementia called Waiting for Blue which is based upon Mark’s late father in law Mel who lived in Nashville, TN for 25 years before returning to the UK.
Mark has had a number of poems published including What If There Were No More Polar Bears and the thought-provoking A Wake Up Call.

In December 2024, Mark released a single version of With God in My Heart. He hopes the song will inspire others to follow their dreams and strive for the beautiful.

In spring 2025, Mark released an EP of ballads It Should Be Mentioned, which is about his innermost feelings and thoughts.
The EP includes the tracks In Days Gone By, USB Ports & Ancient Astronauts and Let The Dice Roll.
