“When I was eight, my family moved to Malaysia and I had an uncle who used to take us on long drives, for hours on end, listening to Kenny Rogers on loop. I have fond memories of being able to get away from the noise of the family home and just be able to think to a country soundtrack. And so for me Country music became a guilty pleasure due to the warm nostalgia it holds in my heart.
