Kelsey Bovey

KELSEY BOVEY is a country-pop-influenced singer/songwriter from Bristol.

Kelsey’s lead single “Define Me” was produced at Puzzle Maker Studios by multiple UK Country Music Awards winner Danny McMahon. Her music is influenced by her troubles as a teenager growing up, and her aim is to empower young people with her melodic hook-laden music that covers relevant subject matter.

Kelsey’s influences cover artists from both the pop and country fields. Nods to Catherine McGrath, Kacey Musgraves and Anne-Marie can all be heard across her work.

“Define Me”, written by Kelsey, covers the topic of growing up as a teenager and how hard that can be in the modern age. She suffered at the hands of bullies at school and wanted to reflect upon this in her songwriting and channel it in to a positive outcome. Going beyond this she wants to use her experiences to create a platform where young people can openly talk about their troubles and experiences without fear of being judged.

Kelsey’s single “Magnetic” entered the iTunes Country Chart at number 2 when it was released in May 2020, and the EP “Not Scared Anymore” entered the iTunes UK Country Album chart at number one when it was released in June.
