Emma Jane

EMMA JANE began gigging in Glasgow in December 2005 and has been performing and writing ever since.

Emma’s first album release was in 2008, with the highly acclaimed ‘Red Shoes’. This was followed in 2012 with Album of the Year winner (Fatea Music) ‘Penilee Songs’ which was a dedication to her mum’s mum, ‘Granny Green’ after Emma found an old recording from 1959 of the family singing in Auntie Nellie’s flat in Penilee, Glasgow.

Emma continued to release more material, moving to London and signing a publishing deal with Speegra Music. Emma released ‘Silver Sreets’ in 2013, and ‘Workhorse’ in 2014 which was nominated for BCMA Album Of The Year.

In 2015 Emma played the big Entrance Stage at C2C (Country to Country) at London’s 02 Arena and was a Finalist for the UKCountryRadio.com Listeners’ Club Song Award with her song ‘Run’.

In 2016 Emma performed a live session on Under The Apple Tree for Bob Harris.

Lucky Ten’ followed in 2017 and September 2018 saw the release of Emma’s album ‘Treasures’.

‘Treasures’ takes on a similar theme as ‘Penilee Songs’ as it is dedicated to her gran Mary and is partially inspired by her gran’s battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

The album touches on many aspects of life, love & loss, coming of age, Emma’s aunt’s battle with cancer and her gran’s battles too.

The album caught the attention of the BBC and the hearts of many as Emma has offered music that people can truly relate to and connect with through her portrayal of the real issues people face.
