Danny McMahon

Danny McMahon is a UK country artist and singer-songwriter who has stirred the attention of music fans across the globe with his ‘own brand of mainstream, slick country-pop radio-oriented material’.

Danny has written commercially for Paramount Songwriting and within the UK Country music scene for a number of years and writes, records and produces his own material at Puzzle Maker Studios, Bristol, UK.

Danny released his debut EP ‘Making Memories’ in 2017 which spiralled international attention and subsequently led to Danny becoming the first UK artist to attend and perform at Springboard West Festival, CA in January 2018. The lead single ‘What It’s Like’ reached the semi-finals of the Global Unsigned Only competition.

Danny’s journey continued in 2018 with the release of his second EP ‘Momentarily’, a headline tour across the UK, appearances at Buckle & Boots Festival and The British Country Music Awards and support slots for Major Nashville artists including Charlie Worsham, Dylan Schneider and Canaan Cox.

2018 ended with a visit to Nashville to record with five-time Grammy nominated and 27 dove nominated songwriter & producer Billy Smiley, two British Country Music Award (BCMA) nominations and being awarded UK Male Country Singer of the Year.

In 2019, Danny was nominated for multiple British CMA and ISSA nominations including finalist for ‘Best European Country Band’ at the Voghera Country Music Festival, Italy.

Success also came in being awarded UK Country Artist of the Year, UK Male Country Singer of the Year and UK Country Song of the Year with his #1 UK iTunes Country single ‘When I See You’.

2019 also included main stage performances at Buckle & Boots, The British Country Music Festival and a headline appearance at Gloucester Country Music Festival.

Abroad appearances include Voghera Country Festival, Italy, Live at Heart, Sweden & shows across Nashville and St Louis, Missouri.

Support slots have included Jesse Kinch & Lockeland & Danny finishes 2019 as a part of the ‘Make Mine Country’ tour alongside Stevie O’Connor and Elliott Joseph.

Danny’s 2019 single ‘Lonely’ has an ‘upbeat country tempo that captures the purity and sincerity surrounding the artists individual and charismatic voice’ [Fierce & Fabulous]. The song charted #4 in the UK Country iTunes Chart and was A-listed on BBC Radio Wales. ‘Lonely’ can be found on all major digital platforms.

2020 began with festival appearances in Germany [Country Music Meeting] and Pennsylvania [Millennium Music Conference] in addition to the release of his brand new single ‘My Kinda City’ which reached #1 in the UK Country iTunes Chart and has been extraordinarily received in the UK and across Europe and the United States. 

Inspired by the likes of Sam Hunt, Dan+Shay and Rascal Flatts, Danny aims to continue to create his own, unique sound that will be welcomed by and relatable to a range of audiences.
