BRIAN STANLEY

Brian was born on August the 1st, although the year is confidential under the Trade Secrets Act. He has been involved in music all his life, playing in orchestra whilst at school, tenor sax player in a soul band in the late sixties and latterly playing in a very popular dance band that had a strong country flavour. After many years playing together the band decided to call it a day in 1992. Brian still plays both tenor sax and acoustic bass with several other musicians doing local charity functions.

He also gained a lot of radio experience presenting a country music show on local station Radio Borders from 1990 to 1997 and interviewing big starts including Garth Brooks, Suzy Boguss and Rodney Crowell.

Brian's now at home on UKCountryRadio.com where you can hear him playing some great country music between 10am and 12noon each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. His show includes the popular Spot The Connection competition, a look back at previous winners of the CMA Awards, three of the best from one of Brian's favourite artists and Love At Eleven.
