McKenZie are Kenny Plenderleith & Zoë Caryl

After varied and successful solo careers, a mutual love of country music brought Kenny & Zoë together to write their debut album of original country music, Walking on Steel. Independently released by them in October 2007 and with ten of the eleven tracks penned by them, the album received a great reception from country music fans in Britain and Europe.

McKenZie first performed songs from Walking on Steel in Scotland, opening The Great Scottish Country Music festival in Ayr in November 2007 to an enthusiastic audience. As much at home on stage as in the studio, they continue to play at festivals, events and clubs  in the UK and are writing material for a second album to be released in spring 2009. Their new album will feature collaborations with Scottish songwriter Alex Birnie, including the single Ice Road Truckers featuring George Hamilton IV.
