  • ROBERT TWAMLEY is an Irish singer-songwriter now living in Falkenberg, Sweden with his wife and two children.

Robert was born in Dublin with the family later moving to Tralee, Co. Kerry. He grew up hearing legends such as Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and numerous others from that period on his dad’s record player.

Robert’s dad was lead singer with the band Jesse and the James boys in Ireland. The band had several country no. 1’s there in the early 1980’s with four of those singles crossing over into the top 20 of the national pop charts.

Robert has also recorded material with his wife Caroline (Rob and Carro) with songs such as "If You’re Coming Back Some Day", "Without Any Doubt" and "Nobody Knows" being received well in Scandinavia and are played regularly on the radio over there.

Away from singing, Robert is also a student of the Irish Film Actors Studio and is a voice over artist for both TV and radio. Robert also works at Hallands Art Museum in Halmstad, Sweden as a technician with his chief responsibility being the smooth running of the Museum’s auditorium.

Robert decided to release his first solo single ‘My Crazy One’ after his wife (Swedish author Caroline Twamley) decided to focus more on her writing. In a recent song review Robert’s style of singing has been compared with rockabilly singer Chris Isaak and the song "My Crazy One" being predicted to not just appeal to fans of country but to a much wider base.
