• Nick Ward
  • NICK WARD is a prolific Welsh singer-songwriter. He has been signed to independent label, Audiofile Records since 2009 and has released 14 singles, 5 albums and an EP.

His songs are thoughtful picture-postcards of life, love and longing, supported by beautiful melodies. Nick isn't afraid to delve into different genres, but recently has been writing and recording with long held influences that include Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams, Tim McGraw, Elvis Costello, Emmylou Harris, Glen Campbell and many others.

Nick's first album, 'Outside Looking In', was released in 2009, and struck a definite New Wave chord with a modern edge. Then with Pink Bay (2010) Nick mixed sunny ballads with intelligent 60s pop.
,br> His 2012 album Cadenza took a departure as Nick experimented with a more acoustic and stripped-down sound. For his fourth album, 'World in Reverse' (2014) Nick recorded a livelier selection of band-oriented songs.

On 2017’s fifth album : Phonus Balonus, Nick changed things yet again by stripping the songs down to the bare bones. Minimal arrangements of acoustic guitar & vocals, subtle strings and piano. Letting the songs & stories run free.

In 2018, Nick has concentrated on releasing country-influenced singles 'Caroline' and 'Come Roll With Me.'

On 19th October, he released a duet with vocalist Deborah Wilson called 'Shadows And Dust.'

Nick performs regularly either as a solo acoustic act or with his full band.
