  • ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES is the UK's newest country band, and is the brainchild of former BCMA award winners Stuart Landon (guitar/vocals) and Neil Cook (bass/vocals). The band are influenced by acts such as Lynrd Skynrd, Zac Brown Band, Restless Heart and Little Big Town among others.

Although the band is a new name on the scene it is full of experience, with its lineup having toured and recorded with some big names within country and main stream music, with Stuart and Neil both former members of the critically acclaimed BCMA award winning country band Young Country who then went on to become The Landon Brothers, and worked with acts such as The Bellamy Brothers, Paul Overstreet, Billy Joe Shaver and Carlene Carter.

The boys then went on to join signed indie rock band The Establishment, working with acts such as Status Quo, Ocean Colour Scene, Cast, Badly Drawn Boy and also performing at venues such as Wembley Stadium, Reading & Leeds Festival, Latitude Festival and Electric Picnic. But being country boys at heart they were drawn back to their roots, when they came off the road with The Establishment.

Joining the ranks of Angels With Dirty Faces is renowned keyboard player and producer Chris Bucknall, Chris has worked with among others Steve Howe(Yes), Wishbone Ash, Robbie Kreiger(The Doors) and Jan Akkerman and produced among others Sam Beeton(Sony/BMI) and Miss600.

Adding to the line up is Nottingham solo singer 'Kalli Ashton'. Kalli released a solo EP in 2015 and had great support from BBC introducing.

Finishing the lineup are talented drummer Danny Jordan and guitar prodigy Jack Donald who became one of the youngest guitarists in the country and worldwide to pass with the highest marks with his RGT (Registry of guitar tutors) electric guitar performance diploma accredited by the London College of Music and on drums Danny Gould who has recorded with Cliff Richard and The Shadows and has spent the last 10 years touring with 'Halfway To Paradise' The Billy Fury Story.

All these elements form a solid musical base for Stuart's songwriting skills, and the band have just put out a 4 track original acoustic EP and have already started work on their first studio album. Add to this, the band have already been added to the line ups of Wolvestock, Americana, FSA, Little Mountain and Rock Ridge country music festivals as well as Stuart being invited to perform at several singer/songwriter evenings.

The band's first single 'Shatter Like Glass', a co-written track between Stuart and Charlotte Elizabeth (CEI Events) debuted at number 4 on the iTunes country chart and was only held off the Top 3 by the CMA anniversary song 'Forever Country'.

As part of the promotion for the single, Stuart appeared of ‘Country World’ for the Keep It Country Sky TV Channel as well as Country Sessions (hosted by Lee Williams) on Sky Channel 266

‘Shatter Like Glass’ has been extremely well received by both industry media and fans alike and this has set the bar for future releases.

The angels have both management and a record deal and are looking forward to European and international success next year. The future is looking bright and the buzz is growing fast!
