KATHRYN ANDERSON is a 23-year old singer-songwriter from Sussex, whose style reflects a range of classic and contemporary country music. Singing from the age of nine and writing and playing from 16, she aims to tell interesting and somewhat unusual stories through an American-influenced sound, maintaining a balance between traditional and modern.
Kathryn has made several trips to Nashville, using the visits to make friends and business connections, as well as write songs - using the inspiration of a town known for its music and its writers. On her three-month trip to Nashville last autumn she made some notable connections, gaining the opportunity and the experience of performing at a fundraiser for a crew member of the TV show Nashville. This exposure also gave her the opportunity to appear as an extra on the show a couple of days later. The up and coming writers she has been able to work with, as well as the people at the Nashville Songwriters Association, have given her invaluable experience and advice for her future career.
In November 2013 Kathryn recorded a 6-track EP entitled "The Road Less Travelled", getting to work with some top session players who have worked with various big names including Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire. One of the songs on the EP, "Just Another Country Song", got her a BCMA nomination for Best British Country Songwriter.
"The Road Less Travelled" is available from Kathryn's website, our Online Music Store and iTunes.
